StraitNZ offers a complete end to end transport solution for general and bulk freight transportation nationwide. We provide a customer orientated, cost effective service with our modern fleet of vehicles, effectively trained drivers and experienced management and administration teams. We are looking for an enthstic individual to join our team based from our modern purpose built depot in South Hornby, Christchurch as a Metro Class 4 Truck Driver. We would like to hear from applicants who have previous Class 4 driving experience, especially those who desire to make their career in road transport. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday involving driving and delivery work in Christchurch and around the greater Canterbury area. We are looking for a person who can demonstrate the following:

• Holds a clean full Class 4 Driver Licence
• Has good written and verbal communication skills in the English language
• Resides in Christchurch area and has an excellent geographical knowledge of the wider Canterbury province
• Is physically fit
• Displays a good understanding, awareness and ownership of health and safety in the workplace
• Holding a current F Endorsement or OSH Forklift certification would be an advantage but not essential as we can help you obtain these with on the job training
• Proven ability to work independently and within a team
• Is reliable and has the desire to be part of a winning team
