Mo te tunga | About the role

This role is responsible for operating and monitoring systems including the CCTV crime control cameras within the Auckland City Police Hub in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring the safety and security of people and property within public areas and other facilities. To provide timely Intel to operational ground staff and assistance, support, and Intel for enquiry teams for historic footage from CCTV systems.

Please note this role will be worked on a 2-2-2 shift roster.

Key Accountabilities:

• Monitors CCTV Crime Control systems and provides timely and accurate Intel to ground staff to assist them in the carrying out their duties.
• Maintains a timely and accurate log of incidents.
• Updates, maintains, and monitors other intelligence databases as required.
• Ensures CCTV scanning is in line with provided Intel products.
• Provides assistance in displaying and exhibiting the CCTV services to authorised parties.
• Provides assistance, support and Intelligence relating to footage of historic incidents.
• Provides recorded media to authorised personnel.
• Maintains and respects the security and sensitivity of the CCTV crime control cameras and other Command Centre systems, complying with the adopted Code of Practice and operational procedures at all times.
• Ensures that the civil rights of the public and individuals are observed, respecting their privacy at all times whilst providing monitoring services.

• Have excellent eyesight due to the nature of monitoring CCTV for extended periods.

• Be adaptable, willing to learn and have a good understanding of technology.

Utu a-tau | Salary

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $63,526 and $66,312 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
