The purpose of the Iwi and Community group is to enable New Zealand Police to deliver `Our Business with and for Maori, Pacific, and Ethnic, and diverse communities. This is achieved through the development and delivery of strategy and initiatives designed to meet the needs of Maori, Pacific, Ethnic and other diverse communities and ensuring alignment with `Our Values of `Commitment to Maori and the Treaty and `Valuing Diversity.
The Iwi and Community workgroup also provides cultural leadership and advice to better enable Police to build and maintain.

The Prevention: Innovation Change team supports the development, delivery, and evaluation of this work to deliver positive Iwi, community, and policing outcomes.
Te Pae Oranga is a supported resolution pathway that Police can use for dealing with eligible offending. Te Pae Oranga is delivered in partnership between iwi Maori and Police. It uses tikanga Maori and restorative justice principles in a panel setting to hold offenders to account, put right the harm, and address the underlying causes of offending. Over 20,000 people have been referred to Te Pae Oranga since the programme was started in 2013. Participation in Te Pae Oranga has been shown to reduce the harm from reoffending by 22.25% and improve the wellbeing of offenders, victims, and whanau.
The Te Pae Oranga Programme develops and supports the Te Pae Oranga service in partnership with frontline police and our iwi Providers around the country. The Senior Business Analyst provides business analysis services at a senior level (i.e. responsibilities are carried out at an advanced level - self-sufficiently, knowledgeably, and able to lead and guide the work of others).
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide expert advice and strategic insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Analyse Business Performance, identify opportunities for growth and recommend solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with internal and external stake holder.
- Offer mentorship and guidance to other advisors.

Utu a-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $110,425 and $117,014 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
