Triple Friends Limited, a well-established Indian restaurant in Christchurch, is seeking experienced cooks to join our team. The ideal candidate must have expertise in preparing authentic Indian cuisine and the ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality.
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.
• Preparing and cooking food.
• Seasoning food during cooking.
• Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes.
• Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities.
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.
• May plan menus and estimate food requirements.
• May train other kitchen staff and apprentices.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a commercial kitchen (Indian Food), OR
• A New Zealand Register Level 4 or higher qualification (or equivalent) in Cookery.
• Proven experience in preparing a variety of Indian dishes.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet restaurant service demands.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
