Data Analyst

About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team with the goal of delivering analytical solutions to clients. This role is perfect for someone in the early stages of their career, and suits a graduate or it would make a great second role. You will work on a variety of projects supporting internal and client ambitions, problem-solving and the willingness to learn must be a demonstrable skill you bring to the role.

What a day may look like:
- Working with the customer service, analyst, and data engineering/operations team to solve and implement solutions to client problems
- Working in a project team to plan, build, test and roll out data-based and analytical solutions
- Work with your team to interpret results and enable Datamines clients to leverage the results to maximise value
- Meeting with clients to understand challenges and support new and existing solutions
- Working pragmatically to deliver the right outcome for the clients business and problem
- Contributing your opinion and expertise into a solution
- Ensuring projects are accurate and delivered on time
- Presenting to the business on the results of your project
- Pitching in at team meetings and contributing to the team achieving its goals
- Communicating with the Client Services team regarding progress on projects and any potential issues
- Working with your direct team, and the wider Datamine team to constantly learn and improve while getting constructive feedback along the way
What Youll Bring
- A university degree: technology or data focused, such as mathematics/statistics, data science or possibly even computer science or engineering with a data or statistical focus
- Programming experience either in the real world or throughout your studies (personal projects also applicable), such as with SQL, Python, R etc.
- Experience with reporting using PowerBI (or Tableau) would beneficial
- Ideally relatively strong skills with Excel
- Practical work experience (for graduates, this may include part time while studying or seasonal work - we are interested in any experience and what you have learnt from it)
- A team-first mindset: you enjoy supporting others, thrive on collaboration, and love celebrating shared successes
- A growth mentality: youre eager to learn, curious, and ready to build your skills while adding value along the way
