Are you someone who genuinely cares and wants to walk alongside others on their learning journey? We are looking for a casual (on-call) Disability Support Worker based in Tauranga. Hours are varied across academic semesters and may include after-hours or occasional weekend noho.
In this role, youll provide tailored learning support to our tauira (students) both in and out of the classroom - including during wānanga and noho marae.
Your mahi might involve notetaking or typing, helping tauira navigate course materials and online resources, breaking down academic tasks, and building their confidence with time management and independent planning. Most importantly, youll be there to encourage and uplift - supporting tauira to engage fully with their learning environment, kaiako, peers, and support services.

Mōu | About you
The ideal person for this role will be flexible, supportive, and confident working one-on-one with learners across a range of learning needs.
You will also bring with you:
- A tertiary qualification, preferably with a qualification above the level of tauira you are supporting
- A relevant Teacher Aide Certificate, desirable
- Previous Teaching Aide experience preferred
- Experience in a pastoral role, coaching, mentoring, support, or teaching advantageous but not essential
