Electrical Trade Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting qualified electricians with a wide range of electrical tasks, including wiring, installations, and maintenance.
• Preparing work sites by gathering necessary tools, equipment, and materials.
• Ensuring work areas are clean, tidy, and safe, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Assisting with the running and securing of cables and conduits.
• Learning to install various electrical components and fittings under supervision.
• Assisting with basic testing and fault-finding tasks (under direct supervision).
• Maintaining and caring for tools and equipment.
• Following instructions and completing tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Communicating effectively with team members and clients.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Participating in on-the-job training and development opportunities.

Skills and Experience:

• A genuine interest in the electrical trade and a willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully.
• Good level of physical fitness as the role can involve some manual handling.
