General Workshop Labourer

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in workshop labour or manual handling (preferred but not required).

  • Basic knowledge of workshop tools and equipment.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

  • Capable of lifting and moving heavy objects safely.

  • Able to perform physical tasks, including extended standing and walking.

  • Able to handle the physical demands of a busy workshop.

  • Good communication skills and proactive work attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of pumping equipment and machinery.
  • Handle the loading and unloading of materials and products within the workshop.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by ensuring tools, machinery, and work areas are organized.
  • Assist skilled tradespeople and technicians with repairs, assembly, and testing of pumping equipment.
  • Transport and arrange tools and materials to required workstations.
  • Carry out general labour tasks including but not limited to basic repairs, component replacements, and machine setup assistance.
  • Follow safety procedures and adhere to workshop safety standards to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling protocols are followed to maintain a safe and eco-friendly environment.
  • Assist with inventory management by reporting stock levels and requesting supplies when necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the supervisor.
