HR Advisor

Our client is looking for an HR Advisor to proactively partner with the business on a fixed-term contract until March 2026, based in South Auckland.  

This opportunity has opened up due to internal shifts within the HR team—a direct reflection strong belief in internal mobility, career development, and providing opportunities for our people to grow and succeed within the business.

Our client works on a hybrid model, with a mix of office time and working from home. This role may also require travel to other Auckland sites and across the North Island.

Duties:

  • Deliver high-volume employment relations (ER) support to both the Support Centre and Supply Chain divisions.
  • Provide expert guidance and coaching to leaders on a broad spectrum of ER matters, including complex and sensitive issues.
  • Collaborate with leaders to manage ER cases from initiation to resolution, encompassing:
    • Disciplinary procedures
    • Workplace investigations
    • Performance management processes
    • Absenteeism concerns
  • Develop and implement proactive ER tools and frameworks to enhance leadership capability.
  • Equip leaders with the knowledge and resources necessary to independently and effectively manage ER responsibilities
Youll be an ER superstar or have a keen desire to become one. Youre an HR professional with a solid track record in high-volume ER, confidence in coaching and influencing leaders, and a strong understanding of NZ employment legislation. Exposure to unions would be a bonus. You bring a commercial mindset balanced with an employee experience focus—finding pragmatic solutions and never shying away from tough conversations. You thrive in a team, hit the ground running, and jump at new opportunities.

The role is to start immediately until March 2026.
