MACHINE OPERATOR

We are in urgent need of machine operator in our horticulture business.

Key responsibilities

• You will be required to operate plant machinery i.e tractor and self-propelled plant to plough, sow, fertilize, cultivate and harvest crops.
• Lead and coordinate machine operations across various agricultural projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Train and mentor junior operators on safe and effective machinery operation, maintenance, and best practices.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of tractors and related equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Servicing plant and performing minor repairs.
• Collaborate with management to develop operational strategies and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment use, maintenance, and production metrics.

What we are looking for:

• The ideal candidate for this role must have at least 2 years industry relevant work experience or a relevant Level 4 qualification.
• Must have class 1 or equivalent drivers licence.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Be able to follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
• Committed and reliable.
• Have a positive, enthusiastic attitude with a strong result- focused work ethic.
• Knowledge of machinery parts and operation.
• Must be available to work Monday-Friday, minimum 32 hours per week.
• Flexibility of weekend availability will be required depending on work.
• Eligible applicant will be paid between $25- $30 depending on experience or qualification.
