Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The OpportunityWere on the lookout for a strategic media pro to join our Corporate Affairs Team! In this role, youll put your solid understanding of the media landscape and your existing relationships with journalists to work to secure valuable media coverage for us. Youll be comfortable working on your own and confidently collaborating with our senior leaders and Executives to push our media strategy forward. With a strong background in Corporate Affairs, youll play a key role in making sure our messaging aligns with Choruss new purpose- driven strategy, while also helping to fine-tune our crisis communication plans. Youll be the main point of contact for media inquiries, responding promptly and always keeping an eye on how our media efforts are impacting the bigger picture.
While youll also be overseeing and contributing to content creation, your main focus will be managing media relations. On the content side of things, youll plan and distribute video content, working closely with the Brand and Marketing teams to ensure the overall look and feel of Chorus is in sync. Youll also monitor media coverage, track performance with analytics, and keep up with industry trends to ensure were using the right platforms and formats to make the impact were after. If youre passionate about media, Corporate Affairs, and savvy with strategic communication, wed love to have you on board.
Ō Wheako, ō Pūkenga | Your ExperienceWere looking for someone with high-level experience (5+ years) in corporate communications or a modern newsroom. Youll need to know how to package digital content in a way that resonates with journalists and newsrooms. Strong storytelling, presentation, and communication skills are a must, along with a solid understanding of digital communication practices for both mainstream media and social channels. Experience with content creation, videography, presenting, and editing videos would be advantageous. Were seeking a proactive, self-motivated individual who has the confidence to interact with our C-Suite and thrives under tight deadlines.

- Familiarity with the latest trends in media and content marketing
- A portfolio showcasing successful media campaigns and content projects
- Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- A history of meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work
- Relevant industry experience, preferably in telecommunications or a related sector
