This is an opportunity to be part of the tīma (team) that supports the non-operational datastore platforms used by the wider data and analytics communities within BNZ, including the BNZ Data Hub (BDH), and Hadoop. This is a 12 month fixed term Auckland based opportunity and is a hybrid tūranga (role) with three days in the office per week. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with one of our Engineering Leads, and they let us know the following about the tūranga. What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this tūranga will complete?

• Use Terraform to build and Maintain AWS Resources.
• Monitor Teams Support channel and answer questions/ diagnose and resolve issues.
• Upgrade and Patch Infrastructure using Ansible.
• Build, Maintain and run CI/CD Jenkins Pipelines.
• Build , Deploy, Configure and Support Airflow Deployments.

What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? The BDH Platform is a cloud based data platform using a diverse range of technologies which provides a great opportunity to build and develop a broad range of skills / experience. What projects / mahi (work) will the candidate be working on now and into the next year? The key focus for this tūranga will be CI/CD Improvements, connecting new SAAS products to BDH and Astronomer / Airflow Upgrades and Automation. What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this tūranga? We are looking for someone who is a cooperative tīma player, is passionate about learning new technologies / skills (with the ability to do this quickly) and has a quality and security focused mindset. What specific tech skills would be beneficial?

• AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure

• IaC using Terraform (Preferred) or other Tools such as AWS CloudFormation.

• Container Platforms such as Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, Docker

• Apache Airflow (Preferred) or other Data Orchestration or ETL Tools.
