Truck Driver

We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Truck Driver to join our team in the commercial waste collection sector. Our business operates day and night shifts across the Auckland region, with occasional travel to nearby areas based on operational needs.

About the Role:

You will play a key role in the collection and transportation of commercial waste, ensuring timely and safe service delivery while maintaining vehicle standards and adhering to all safety protocols.

Job duties:

• Operating and driving a company Truck.

• Completing all required documentation

• Ensuring the vehicle is kept in a clean and tidy condition and carrying out minor maintenance tasks, if required

• Plan routes and schedules

• Attending to the usual reporting procedures associated with driving

• Follow correct safety procedures

• Check the condition of the load to ensure it is secure

• Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately

• Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered

• Maintain vehicle equipment

• Attending to the daily vehicle checking such as oil, water, fuel, air pressure, safety conditions and equipment security and keeping the employer informed for any relevant issues.

A successful candidate will be guaranteed a minimum 30 hours work per week rostered over 6 days, including weekends & public holidays and will be paid between $25.00 - $30.00 per hour.

To be successful in this role you must have:

• Valid Truck drivers license (Class 4)

• Must pass Drug and alcohol test.

• Maintain professional road manners.

• Maintain a proactive approach to your Health and Safety and those around you.

• Reliable and good work ethic.

• Flexible to do early shift work.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Rotating roster
• Weekend availability
