With a strong forward workload in Canterbury, we’re looking for a Site Engineer with a civil background who wants to be part of delivery, not sitting behind a desk.

What you’ll be doing

This is a hands-on site role. You’ll be:

• Supporting the delivery of civil works across structures, drainage, and utilities
• Setting out, surveying, and ensuring works are built to spec
• Interpreting drawings and working through real-world constructability challenges
• Coordinating with crews, subcontractors, and supervisors on site
• Supporting programme, methodology, and cost tracking
• Managing quality documentation, as-builts, and site records
• Playing an active role in health and safety

You’ll be working alongside experienced engineers and leaders who expect a high standard and will push you to grow.

What we’re looking for

We’re not looking for someone who just wants to “tick the box” on a Site Engineer role.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a Civil Engineering qualification
• Has 2–5 years’ experience in civil construction
• Has worked in a contracting environment (not just consulting/client side)
• Understands how work actually gets built on site
• Is comfortable talking to crews and coordinating people
• Takes ownership and follows things through

If you’ve been stuck in a coordination-heavy role and want to get closer to real delivery, this is a good move.
