We are seeking an experienced and motivated House Moving Team Leader to join our growing team. This is not an entry-level role and is suited to a skilled builder, carpenter, or asbestos removal professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and enjoys working on varied and unique projects.

The successful applicant will play a key role in preparing, relocating, and reinstating houses while assisting with supervising and coordinating team members on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing, cutting, and joining houses for transport
• Removing asbestos where required for safe house relocation and compliance
• Assisting with lifting and relocating houses
• Reinstating and repairing houses after relocation
• Installing and preparing house foundations at delivery sites
• Completing finishing and building work to a high standard
• Working alongside the house moving team on-site
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally
• Assisting with training staff and helping lead a small team involved in house preparation and piling work
• Following workplace health and safety requirements at all times

Skills and Experience Required

Applicants must have:

• Proven experience in building, carpentry, house moving, or asbestos removal work atleast 3 years
• Practical experience with structural building or house relocation work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to lead or coordinate a small team on-site
• Commitment to workplace health and safety practices

Preferred (but not essential)

• Carpentry or relevant trade qualification
• Asbestos removal experience or certification
• Experience with house relocation, piling, or foundation work
• Full driver licence
