About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Sales and Marketing Manager to lead the company's sales and marketing function. The role is responsible for market development, customer acquisition, brand positioning, strategic partnerships and commercial performance across AE Logistics' service portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop, implement and regularly review sales and marketing strategies, sales targets and customer acquisition plans aligned with the company's business objectives.
· Analyse domestic and international logistics markets, trade trends, customer supply chain requirements and competitor activity to identify commercial opportunities.
· Position and promote the company's freight forwarding, customs brokerage, warehousing and integrated supply chain services through proposals, tender submissions, presentations, digital campaigns, industry events and business networking.
· Build and manage a pipeline of prospective corporate clients, negotiate commercial service arrangements and maintain long-term customer relationships.
· Develop and maintain strategic relationships with overseas logistics agents, shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers and other supply chain stakeholders.
· Manage the sales and marketing budget and performance framework, including pricing input, key performance indicators, sales pipeline reporting, campaign effectiveness and return on investment.
· Work closely with the Managing Director and operational teams to ensure sales commitments accurately reflect operational capability, service standards and compliance requirements.
· Represent AE Logistics in meetings with clients, partners and industry organisations, and recommend improvements in response to market developments, customer feedback and emerging technologies.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following minimum requirements:
· A bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Marketing, Business, Commerce, International Business or a closely related discipline; or
· At least five years of relevant professional experience in sales and marketing management or a closely related managerial position.
The successful applicant will also demonstrate:
· Proven experience developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies that achieve measurable commercial outcomes.
· Strong commercial judgement and the ability to identify market opportunities, develop growth strategies and support sustainable business expansion.
· Experience analysing market trends, customer behaviour, competitor activity and sales or marketing performance.
· Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong organisational, project management and analytical capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
· The ability to work collaboratively across business functions and coordinate external service providers.
· Experience in freight forwarding, international logistics, international trade, transportation or supply chain services would be advantageous.
