Sandhuz Trading Limited is a courier and logistics service provider, contracted to NZ Post, operating across Auckland. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Manager to join our team based in Auckland.

This is a full-time position, with guaranteed hours of 30 per week. The pay rate starts from $32 to $36 per hour, depending on skills, qualifcation and experience.

Role Overview:

As the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our transport operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and exceptional service. Your role will involve managing a team, developing strategies to enhance our service delivery, and working closely with clients to meet their transportation needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. 
• Organising the purchase and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment and fuel
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of drivers and support staff. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
•  Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners. Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Monitor and manage the transport budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize performance.
• Ensure all transport operations adhere to occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Relevant Diploma qualification OR at least 2 years of relevant work experience working in a similar industry is required. 
• Proven experience in transport management or a related field would be preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards in New Zealand would be advantageous.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in using transport management software and tools.
• Able to work on weekends and late night shifts.
