We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Team Lead to support the smooth, accurate and timely running of our AP function across our business. This is a permanent, full‑time role based at our Auckland Support Office.

Reporting to the CFO, this role will lead the day‑to‑day activities of our Accounts Payable team of three, ensuring supplier invoices, payments, reconciliations and queries are managed efficiently and to a high standard. You will be a key point of support for the team and the wider business, helping to maintain strong supplier relationships and continuous improvement across AP processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing supplier credit application forms and ensuring terms are acceptable.
  • Overseeing invoice processing, payment runs, supplier reconciliations and month‑end AP activities.
  • Managing payment timing to maximise supplier discounts and payment terms.
  • Reviewing and approving payment runs prior to release, ensuring proper controls and approvals are in place.
  • Identifying process improvements in the AP function.
  • Building strong working relationships with branches and suppliers.
About You

You’ll be a confident people leader with strong accounts payable experience and a passion for developing others.

  • Previous experience leading, mentoring or coordinating a small team.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and time management.
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Experience working with Oracle or a large ERP system would be highly advantageous.
  • A calm, organised style and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach to improving processes.
