Gardena Court Motel is a well-established accommodation provider located in Hamilton, offering comfortable and convenient accommodation for business travellers, families, sporting groups, and leisure visitors.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Marketing Specialist to strengthen our brand presence, increase direct bookings, expand corporate partnerships, and develop effective marketing strategies to support the continued growth of our business.

This is a permanent full-time position offering a minimum of 40 hours per week, and you are required to work within business hours from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

• Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with the motel's business objectives.
• Conduct market research to identify customer trends, competitors, and new business opportunities.
• Analyse marketing performance and recommend improvements to maximise return on investment.
• Prepare regular marketing reports and performance analysis.

Digital Marketing

• Manage and optimise the motel's online presence, including the company website and social media platforms.
• Develop digital marketing campaigns across search engines, social media, email marketing, and online advertising platforms.
• Improve the motel's visibility through SEO and online content optimisation.
• Monitor website traffic, conversion rates, and digital campaign performance.

Brand & Promotional Activities

• Develop promotional campaigns, seasonal packages, and special offers.
• Coordinate advertising materials, brochures, digital content, photography, and promotional videos.
• Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels.
• Liaise with external designers, photographers, and advertising suppliers when required.

Business Development

• Establish and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, tourism operators, and event organisers.
• Identify opportunities to increase direct bookings and repeat business.
• Support the development of partnership programmes and local tourism promotions.

Customer & Market Analysis

• Collect and analyse customer feedback and online reviews.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities.
• Recommend pricing and promotional strategies based on market conditions.

Administrative Duties

• Manage marketing budgets and promotional expenditure.
• Maintain marketing records, campaign documentation, and performance reports.
• Assist management with other marketing-related projects as required.

Skills & Experience Required

Applicants must have either:

• A Bachelor's Degree (Level 7 or above) in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a closely related discipline;

OR

• At least three years of relevant experience in marketing, digital marketing, business development, or hospitality marketing.

Successful applicants should also demonstrate:

• Strong knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms.
• Experience with SEO, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta advertising, or similar marketing tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously.
• Experience within the hospitality or tourism industry will be advantageous but is not essential.
