The Right Candidate:
More than a yeare of experience in a busy kitchen environment or relevant
qualification in Culinary Arts or similar
Familiar with running a systemized kitchen
A team player who collaborates well with others and supports a positive work
environment
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards in
food preparation and kitchen systems
Eagerness to learn, develop your skills, and take on new challenges
Position Details:
Full-time (minimum 30 hours per week)
Both work on weekends and some public holidays
No night shift
Duties include:
Design, plan and price menu based on customer preference and seasonality
Train and manage kitchen staff. You may also involve in hiring kitchen staff
Prepare and cook meals. Always ensure that the presentation is excellent
Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed. Minimise waste and manage food
costs efficiently.
Utilise proper techniques to freeze and preserve foods
Communicating food preparation issues effectively with the management team, and
all relevant kitchen and service staff.
Ability to estimate food and labor costs to maintain profitability
Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimise waste and ensure freshness of
ingredients.
Ensure kitchen cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations
Overseeing the quality of dishes throughout all stages of preparation and
presentation
