# Physiotherapist - Older persons health rehabilitation at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Southern, Otago## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role**Older persons health Rehabilitation Physiotherapist, Dunedin****0.6 FTE fixed- (Maternity leave cover until 12 July 2027)****Salary Band: $90843– $112965 per annum pro rata (depending on experience)****Join our rehabilitation team and make a real difference**Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Physiotherapist looking for an opportunity to develop your rehabilitation skills while making a meaningful impact in the lives of older people?We are seeking a motivated Physiotherapist to join our Older Persons Health Community Rehabilitation Team in a fixed-term role covering maternity leave. Based in the community, you will also work closely with our inpatient rehabilitation services and aged residential care facilities, supporting people requiring short-term rehabilitation in aged residential care.This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking team that is developing innovative models of care to better meet the needs of our community. Alongside clinical development, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to service improvement and help shape the future of rehabilitation services.Our experienced interdisciplinary rehabilitation team is passionate about delivering person-centred care that enables people to achieve their rehabilitation goals and live as independently as possible.**About the role****In this role you will:*** Deliver high-quality physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation interventions as part of an interdisciplinary team.* Work with older people with a range of conditions including, frailty medical, orthopaedic and neurological conditions.* Support rehabilitation within the community, inpatient settings and aged residential care.* Contribute to the supervision, teaching and development of students, rotational staff and junior colleagues.* Prescribe mobility aids and equipment in accordance with departmental guidelines.* Develop strong working relationships with hospital teams, primary care, aged residential care providers and community services.* Demonstrate an understanding of ACC rehabilitation and community pathways.* Maintain the competencies required to participate in the hospital weekend and on-call roster.**About you**You are passionate about rehabilitation and enjoy working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
