Operating from its facility in Dandenong South, the company supplies high-performance building materials including premium Bluescope Colorbond® steel products manufactured to Australian standards. Position BMG Met-All has built a strong industry reputation over nearly three decades by delivering reliable products, honest advice, and responsive customer service. The company caters to builders, tradespeople, and homeowners across a wide range of project types, offering tailored solutions, expert product guidance, and obligation-free quotations. Position Description The Accountant at BMG MetAll Pty Ltd will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of financial, accounting, and compliance functions for the company. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting sound financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic business planning in a growing product distribution environment. Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Assisting the Finance Manager in formulating budgetary and accounting policies to support BMG Met-All's operations. • Preparing financial statements and management reports for presentation to the Managing Director and senior management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian Accounting Standards • Examining operating costs and income and expenditure across residential, commercial and multi-dwelling roofing and installation contracts • Providing assurance on the accuracy of financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements applicable to BMG Met-All's operations • Introducing and maintaining accounting information systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems suited to the organisation's needs • Maintaining internal control systems to safeguard the financial integrity of BMG Met-All's accounting records and financial transactions • Conducting financial investigations and preparing reports on matters such as capital financing and business operations as directed by the Finance Manager • Appraising cash flow and financial risk of capital investment projects undertaken by BMG Met-All • Providing financial advice on business structures, plans and operations to support management decision-making Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required • Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Accounting or Finance • At least one year of relevant experience is required • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with the capacity to build effective working relationships across teams • Knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, compliance, and accounting systems • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced business environment If you are a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for accounting and financial management, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.we are an equal opportunity employer
