Orchard Cover Limited is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Team Members to join our growing team in the Bay of Plenty region. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to contribute to daily operations, work closely with a supportive team, and develop practical skills while following safety and quality standards.
Key Duties - • Assist in constructing and maintaining orchard shelter structures, including full canopy covers, frames, and protective installations.• Perform general building, repair, and maintenance duties consistent with handyman tasks, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.• Operate and maintain machinery and tools such as compact track loaders, power tools, and lifting equipment safely and efficiently.• Work at heights (typically 5–6 metres) using approved safety gear and follow all workplace health and safety procedures.• Install support posts, frames, and cover materials according to project specifications and supervisor instructions.• Carry out ground preparation and site maintenance, including clearing, levelling, and assisting with machinery movement.• Inspect and maintain equipment and tools regularly to ensure safe operation and readiness for daily tasks.• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials and tools across worksites.• Follow project plans, supervisor directions, and safety requirements to complete installations on time and to standard.• Perform other general labour or maintenance duties as required to support orchard cover construction projects.
Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $24.00 to $30 per hour.
Other essential requirements for the role:• Relevant experience is preferred but not mandatory• A valid driver's license• Available to work on weekends• Reliable and punctual• Physically fit to perform manual tasks• Strong attention to detail and safety• Able to follow instructions accurately
