Aboutthe Role

Weare seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) tojoin our Cardiac Rehabilitation service within the Cardio-RespiratoryIntegrated Specialist Services (CRISS) team. This is an advanced nursing rolewhere clinical expertise is central, alongside responsibilities in leadership,education, research, and care coordination.

Inthis role, you will provide expert nursing care to patients with cardiacconditions, working collaboratively with patients, whānau, and the widermultidisciplinary team to optimise health outcomes. You will deliver advancedassessments, develop and implement evidence-based care plans, and contribute toservice improvement initiatives.

Youwill also play a key leadership role by supporting and mentoring staff,contributing to clinical governance, and driving quality improvement andinnovation across the service.

TheCardiac Rehabilitation service sits within the CRISS team, a small, innovative,and collaborative service focused on delivering integrated care across hospitaland community settings. The team is committed to providing high-quality,patient-centred care, supporting individuals with long-term cardiac conditionsto achieve optimal health and wellbeing.

AboutYou

Youwill be an experienced Registered Nurse with significant clinical expertise incardiology. You will bring advanced assessment skills, apassion for improving patient outcomes, and the ability to work bothautonomously and collaboratively.

Tobe successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current registration with the Nursing Council of NewZealand and a current practising certificate
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant clinicalspecialty or senior nursing role
  • Postgraduate qualification (or working towards) in arelevant field
  • Advanced clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Proven leadership, education, and mentoring abilities
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice, qualityimprovement, and ongoing professional development
  • RN Prescriber
