Bookkeeper
MYRADHE LIMITED is a growing grocery retail business based in Paparoa, Kaipara Region, New Zealand. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records, manage day-to-day accounts functions, and support financial decision-making through timely reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the financial health, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance of our business.
Tasks include but are not limited to: -
· Keeping accurate financial records and maintaining accounts
· Monitoring cash flow, account balances, and lines of credit to ensure financial health
· Preparing and producing financial statements, budgets, expenditure reports, and analytical summaries using account books, ledgers, and accounting software
· Preparing and processing invoices, purchase orders, and bank deposits accurately and in a timely manner
· Reconciling financial records and transactions against monthly bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
· Verifying recorded transactions, identifying discrepancies, and reporting irregularities or issues to management promptly
· Complete and submit tax-related forms, including calculating and reporting business tax obligations such as GST and PAYE
· Supporting end of year financial processes, audits, and compliance reporting as required
Person Specification:
· Must have either Diploma Level 4 qualification and At least 2 years of relevant work experience
· Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
· Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Good written and verbal communication skills
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Ø Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and financial records using Xero and other accounting software.
Ø Monitor daily cash flow and coordinate bank deposits across multiple retail stores.
Ø Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Ø Reconcile accounts payable and receivable; match purchase orders with supplier invoices.
Ø Verify and record all transactions, investigate discrepancies, and report irregularities to management.
Ø Prepare and file GST returns and assist with PAYE and other statutory tax filings.
Ø Generate weekly sales, expense, and inventory reports for management analysis.
Ø Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and expenditure forecasts.
Ø Liaise with store managers on inventory purchases, invoice matching, and petty cash use.
Ø Maintain records of staff leave, timesheets, and payroll summaries for payroll processing.
Location: Paparoa, Kaipara Region, New Zealand
Duration: Permanent Full-time – Minimum 32 hours per week
Wage Rate: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour
