Ming Brothers Construction Limited is looking for 3 full-time Cabinet Maker in the construction field to perform routine tasks to the company quality standards in Wellington. The ideal candidates will be offered from $28.00 to $35.00 per hour, with at least 30 hours per week.

Job Duties:

• Read and interpret technical drawings to determine materials and assemblymethods.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and panel products for cabinetry, doors, frames, etc.
• Use precise joinery techniques, including mortise and tenon, dovetail, and biscuit joints.
• Assemble and install custom joinery for kitchens, bathrooms, and office spaces.
• Fit hardware like hinges, locks, handles, and runners.
• Apply protective finishes for durability and aesthetics.
• Operate woodworking tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand’s health and safety regulations.
• May involve repair, refurbishment, and restoration of wooden structures.

Ideal candidates must have the following:

• 2 years relevant experience or a level 4 or above relevant qualification.
• Ability to work under pressure on a busy construction site.
• Must be able to work on weekends and work overtime.
• Must be flexible to work early-morning and late-night shifts.
• Long-term and full commitments are required.
• Can work well and efficiently both unsupervised and within a team.
• Physically fit the job and can work outdoors in the hot and cold season.
