J&C International Enterprise Limited based in Auckland, is specialised in residential construction and renovation projects. We are looking for three carpenters to join our awesome team.
You will be expected to work at different sites throughout the Auckland region. This role guarantees a minimum of 40 hours per week, typically from Monday to Friday. You may also be required to work on Saturdays, with total working hours of up to 75 hours per week. This is a permanent full-time position, with an hourly pay rate ranging from $28.00 to $34.00, depending on the candidate’s experience and skills.
Job Description for This Position
· Working on general carpentry tasks in residential construction.
· Knowledge of construction health and safety, always working safely.
· Work on various carpentry tasks, including formwork, framing, and finishing.
· Must have good knowledge of fire rated wall systems. i.e. GIB Barrierline system, JH systems.
· Must be able to construct entire building from foundation to completion.
· Should have sound foundation knowledge.
· Must be able to work unsupervised and complete tasks assigned to you to the correct standard.
· Will be required to construct trusses onsite if required.
· Assisting with general housekeeping or laboring tasks.
Key Requirements for Successful Applicants
· At least two years of relevant experience as a carpenter, construction worker or similar is required
· Relevant qualification or certificate is an advantage.
· Have reliable transport and basic carpentry tools.
· Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role
· Be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting.
· A good positive and willing attitude to learn and progress.
· Able to work with deadlines and schedules, and available to work weekends if required.
