Carpet Layer Wanted 

Location: Auckland Region 

Employment type: Full time (minimum 30 hours/per week, maximum 60 hours per week), Permanent role 

Your pay: $28-$35 per hour depending on your skills 

Tasks you may carry out: 

• Travel and visit our clients’ properties, measure, and cut carpets 
• Know how to draw and read a housing plan and work out the meters of the carpet 
• Occasionally move furniture, uplift and dispose of existing carpet, underlay, etc. 
• May require completing floor preparation before laying  
• Repair or replace damaged flooring as needed
• Good skills with handling various carpet installation tools, joining and seaming edges using tape and carpet iron 
• Vacuum and remove all the rubbish before leaving the site 
• Follow all Health and Safety procedures and all company procedures.  

To be successful you will need: 

• Quality workmanship and eye for detail 
• Strong Ability to work independently and solve problems practically 
• Be a good team player and follow instructions 
• Be physically fit and willingness to handle heavy workload 
• Regular and reliable attendance to work 
• Commitment to health and workplace safety guidelines 
• Have at least two years solid relevant experience, or 
• Have a relevant NZ Register Level 4 qualification in Flooring 

Summit 2020 Investment Limited T/A Flooring Design Mt Roskill is a well-established flooring business base in Auckland. Due to the expansion of the business, we are now urgently looking for 5 carpet layers to join our team. You will need to work a minimum of 30 hours each week.
