Role: Chef | St Lukes ELC Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 Work type: Permanent Full Time Are you passionate about nourishing young minds and tummies? Do you love creating healthy, delicious meals? We’re looking for a dedicated and autonomous Chef to join our team at a thriving Early Learners Centre in Canberra. This is a full-time position ideal for a self-motivated individual who can confidently manage a kitchen with minimal oversight. You'll be responsible for planning and preparing nutritious meals tailored to the needs of infants and young children, always ensuring a safe and hygienic kitchen environment. The Role Food preparation whilst adhering to food presentation standards, food safety standards, policies and procedures Managing a section of the kitchen Training and mentoring staff Maintaining clean, safe and hygienic work practices Goods receival and storage of all goods in correct storage area Organising storage areas and fridges/freezers in line with food safety program About You An understanding of WH&S and food safety practices Strong interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment Ability to work within a team environment Willingness to be trained and developed Embrace change, where you are always part of the solution.
