Our Culinary Family We are seeking a skilled and creative Chef who shares our passion for authentic flavours and exceptional customer experiences. You will be a key leader in our kitchen, responsible for crafting the dishes that keep our customers coming back for more and contributing to the smooth operation of our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities:  Developing menus, estimating food and labour costs, and sourcing high- quality food supplies.  Collaborating with Managers and kitchen and service staff to address all food preparation and service requirements.  Demonstrating culinary techniques and providing guidance on cooking methods and procedures to team members.

 Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality, authentic Sri Lankan food in accordance with our strict recipe and menu specifications.  Managing food preservation processes, including freezing and storing ingredients as necessary to minimize waste and maximize freshness.  Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, and enforcing these standards as a cornerstone of our kitchen culture.

 Selecting, training, and supervising kitchen staff where required, fostering a positive and productive team environment.  Maintaining our impeccable 5-star cleaning and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen. Are

You the Right Fit? You must have:  A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen; OR  A New Zealand Certificate in Cookery (Level 4) or an equivalent qualification

Our ideal candidate will be:  Passionate about Sri Lankan cuisine or eager to learn and master its unique flavours and techniques.  A natural leader and team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.  Highly organised, with a strong sense for cost control and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
