WE ARE SEEKING TWO SKILLED AND RELIABLE CLASS 5 TRUCK DRIVER TO JOIN OUR TEAM IN PALMERSTON NORTH. APPLICANTS MUST HOLD A VALID CLASS 5 DRIVER LICENSE AND HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR OF TRUCK DRIVING EXPERIENCE OR LEVEL 2 QUALIFICATION. THIS IS FULL-TIME, PERMANENT POSITION WITH COMPETITIVE PAY.

Minimum 30 hours weekly.

$31-$35 per hour - depending on experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• PLAN DELIVERY OF GOODS CORRECTLY SO THEY ARE DELIVERED ON TIME. 
• SAFELY DRIVE TRUCKS ON DESIGNATED ROUTES.
• SUPERVISE LOADING AND UNLOADING OF PRODUCTS.
• LOAD AND UNLOAD TRUCKS WHEN REQUIRED ( MANUAL LIFTING MAY BE INVOLVED )
• TRANSPORT FRAGILE AND HEAVY GOODS OF ALL DELIVERIES.
• INSPECT VEHICLES DAILY FOR SAFETY AND CLEANLINESS.
• COMPLY WITH ALL TRAFFIC LAWS AND COMPANY POLICIES.
• COLLECT DELIVERY CONFIRMATIONS FROM CUSTOMERS.
• REPORT ANY TRUCK DEFECTS OR MAINTENANCE NEEDS.
• ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH HEALTH & SAFETY STANDARDS.
• OPERATE FORKLIFT TO UNLOAD TRUCKS.

KEY REQUIRMENTS

• VALID CLASS 5 NZ DRIVER LICENSE
• MINIMUM 1 YEAR OF WORK EXPERIENCE AS A TRUCK DRIVER OR LEVEL 2 QUALIFICATION.
• ABLE TO DRIVE MANUAL TRUCKS.
• AVAILABLE FOR WEEKEND, EARLY MORNING,DAY/NIGHT SHIFTS.
• WILLINGNESS TO STAY OVERNIGHT FOR OUT-OF-TOWN RUN WHEN REQUIRED.
• FLEXIBILITY TO WORK BETWEEN 30 TO 70 HOURS WEEKLY.
• PHYSICALLY FIT AND CAPABLE OF MANUAL LIFTING.
• CLEAN CRIMINAL RECORD AND DRIVING HISTORY.
