About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our Oncology Medical Day Unit team at Gisborne Hospital.
In this senior specialist role, you will provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership to support high-quality care delivery for oncology patients. The role will have a systemic anti-cancer treatment focus and you will work in Outpatient and community settings. You will play a key role in care coordination, service development, and supporting nursing staff through education, mentorship, and evidence-based practice.
This is an excellent opportunity to influence service improvement, lead quality initiatives, and make a meaningful impact on patient and whānau outcomes within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

About the Team/Service/LocationOur team of nurses work in a multi-disciplinary team in the Medical Day Unit at Gisborne Hospital, working closely with the Waikato and local Medical Oncology teams.
