The Commercial Analyst will play a key role in driving the growth and performance of our international adventure tourism business. Based at our support office in Queenstown, the role provides financial and commercial insights across both the New Zealand and United States markets. With a focus on revenue optimisation, margin improvement, disciplined growth, and marketing effectiveness, this role is designed for a commercially minded analyst who thrives in a fast-moving, performance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
Analyse financial performance across domestic (NZ) and international (US) operations, identifying drivers of revenue, cost, and profitability.
Provide actionable insights on pricing, distribution, demand, and margin management.
Build and maintain robust financial and operational models to support forecasting, planning, and decision-making.
Deliver competitor and market analysis, including seasonality, FX impacts, and global visitor trends.
Partner with the digital marketing team to measure ROI on campaigns, track acquisition costs, and assess online channel performance.
Support the development of business cases for new products, market entry, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
Prepare clear, insightful reporting and recommendations for senior executives and the board, supporting data-driven strategic decisions.
Skills & Experience
Degree in commerce, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
3+ years' experience in commercial analysis, financial planning & analysis, consulting, or related roles.
Strong financial modelling and analytical skills (Excel essential; BI tools or SQL advantageous).
A strong communicator, with the ability to translate complex data into practical insights for financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially curious, with the ability to work effectively in a growth-focused, private equity backed organisation.
