Overview

Dispatch Manager – Samen NZ (Morrinsville)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Salary: Based on experience

Work eligibility: You must be eligible to work in New Zealand (NZ citizen, NZ resident, or valid NZ work visa)

Samen NZ is looking for a Dispatch Manager to lead and run our dispatch operations in Morrinsville. This role is hands-on and practical. You will manage the dispatch team, keep daily orders moving on time, and make sure dispatch is accurate, safe, and organised. All shipments require export documentation.

Responsibilities

Lead the dispatch team and organise daily tasks and priorities
Make sure orders are picked, packed, labelled, and sent correctly and on time
Book couriers/freight, track deliveries, and fix dispatch issues quickly
Maintain accurate stock movement records (in/out/returns) using generic systems and basic computer tools
Support export-related dispatch when required (basic export paperwork and coordination)
Keep the dispatch area clean, tidy, and safe
Follow and enforce health & safety practices
Report performance and issues to the General Manager (GM) and suggest improvements

Qualifications and experience

Experience in dispatch, logistics, warehousing, or operations (team-leading experience preferred)
Good attention to detail and reliable time management
Comfortable using computers (email, basic spreadsheets, simple inventory/order systems)
Physically capable of lifting and carrying dispatch items (including tanks) safely
Clear communication and a calm, problem-solving attitude
Forklift licence preferred (not required)
Must be eligible to work in New Zealand (resident visa / work visa / citizen)
Role is subject to a criminal background check (and reference checks if required)
