ROC TECH LTD is seeking an experienced and technically capable Engineering Technologist to support the design, development, testing and implementation of technology-based engineering solutions.
This role will suit an engineering professional with experience in system simulation, technical validation, product development, hardware and software integration, and engineering test processes. The successful candidate will work closely with internal technical teams and external stakeholders to translate project requirements into practical engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, development and improvement of engineering systems, technical products and technology solutions.
- Analyse project requirements and convert operational needs into technical specifications, engineering plans and validation requirements.
- Support simulation, modelling, testing and performance evaluation of engineering systems and components.
- Conduct system integration, interface testing, calibration, troubleshooting and technical verification activities.
- Assist with the development and optimisation of testing methods, validation processes and acceptance criteria.
- Review technical data, identify system issues and contribute to practical engineering improvements.
- Work with software, hardware and technical teams to support product development and project delivery.
- Prepare technical documentation, test reports, engineering proposals, specifications and project records.
- Provide technical input for client discussions, solution design, product demonstrations and pre-sales activities where required.
- Ensure engineering work is completed in accordance with project requirements, internal procedures and relevant quality standards.
Skills and Experience Required
- A relevant bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Information Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- At least three years of relevant engineering, technical development, system testing, simulation or product validation experience.
- Experience in system integration, technical testing, interface debugging, verification or acceptance testing.
- Knowledge of engineering simulation, signal processing, image processing, sensor systems, intelligent systems or related technologies will be an advantage.
- Experience using technical tools or programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C/C++ or similar platforms is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate technical issues and propose practical solutions.
- Good communication and documentation skills, including the ability to prepare clear technical reports and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple technical tasks and contribute effectively to project delivery timelines.
