About the opportunity Due to exciting growth and an internal promotion within McIndoe Services department we are looking for an experienced Diesel Truck Mechanic to join the team in Gisborne. We are a well-established Logging & Log Transport company. You will be working in a modern, busy workshop, working Monday to Friday with the option of extra Saturday work if you want it. You will be part of a friendly, down-to-earth crew that genuinely values its people and enjoys a bit of banter while getting the job done. In this role, you will be hands-on with a range of trucks, keeping them running safely and efficiently through quality diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance. You will play a key part in keeping the fleet moving and supporting a positive, supportive workshop culture. Key responsibilities
Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance on heavy vehicles.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults on trucks.
Completing all required paperwork and job cards accurately.
Helping keep the workshop clean, safe, and well presented as part of the team.
Contributing to a supportive, collaborative team environment and sharing knowledge. About you
Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
Kenworth Experience is preferred.
Eligible to work in New Zealand.
Friendly, professional, and approachable with a positive, can-do attitude.
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
Able to work to deadlines while staying calm and organised.
