Seeking a Stonemason and Installer of Stone Benchtops, Surfaces and Countertops for Pacific Stone based in TaupoSTONE BENCHTOP INSTALLER - TAUPO
Company: Pacific Stone Limited
Location: Based in Taupo, covering the Taupo and Hawke's Bay Regions
Position: Stonemason and Installer of Stone Benchtops and Countertops
Hourly Rates: NZD $30.00-$36.00 p/h depending on experience
Full Time, Permanent Position - minimum 40 hours p/w plus opportunities for overtime  
 
About the Company: Pacific Stone is a leading supplier and fabricator of quality handcrafted surfaces, all made to order from stunning natural and engineered products. They measure, fabricate, and install granite, marble, natural and engineered stone, and porcelain for kitchen benchtops and splashbacks, bathrooms, fire hearths, business reception counters, and a range of commercial spaces.
The factory is based in Tauranga, with a branch in Taupo supplying building companies, kitchen cabinet makers, and discerning home, property, and business owners throughout New Zealand.  
 
Due to one of our team members heading overseas, Pacific Stone requires an Installer to join the Taupo branch.
 
Position Description / Responsibilities:

• Manual polishing and installation of stone benchtops, countertops, and other surfaces.
• Using CNC Saw for cutting stone and under mounts.
• Demonstrate a high level of precision using diamond tooling.
• Profiling of stone edges, mitering, bullnosing, bevelling, and edging.
• Experience with Templating and measuring on-site is an advantage.
• Loading, transporting, and installing the finished product on-site.
• Using handheld polishing tools to perform any remedial repairs and repair chips and scratches.

Role Requirements:

• Experience installing stone surfaces and countertops or similar.
• CNC Saw operating experience would be an advantage.
• Health and Safety conscious, with an eye for detail and quality workmanship.
• Physical fitness is essential for these roles.
• Able to specify and/or provide evidence of your New Zealand work rights.
