On their behalf, I am looking for a Finance Manager to join their team in a newly created role. Sitting on the senior leadership team alongside the Directors and General Manager, you will own financial operations while providing forward-looking commercial insight. This role is central to shaping strategy, evaluating opportunities, and ensuring the business has the systems and capability to grow with confidence.

About the role:This role offers a 30-hour working week and provides full ownership of the finance functions of the business. 

  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, presenting results with insight into variances, trends, and commercial implications
  • Manage cashflow, budgeting, forecasting, working capital, and FX exposure, ensuring operational efficiency and cost control
  • Partner with the Directors and GM on pricing, new product evaluation, market expansion, and strategic growth decisions using financial modelling and scenario analysis
  • Provide commercial insight and recommendations, surfacing opportunities and risks to support business strategy
  • Strengthen finance systems, processes, and controls, and position the function to scale with the business
  • Ensure compliance with NZ financial, tax, and accounting regulations, oversee audits and tax filings, and proactively manage financial risk

About you:

  • You are CA/CPA qualified with at least five years' experience in finance roles within SMEs or growth businesses, delivering measurable results and driving business performance
  • You have strong skills in FP&A and FX management, with a track record of accurate forecasting, budgeting, and managing foreign exchange exposure to optimise business outcomes
  • You have a proven ability to turn financials into commercial insight, translating complex data into recommendations that support strategic decision-making and drive business growth
  • You have experience building scalable finance functions and systems, implementing processes and tools that improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and support future business expansion
  • You are a confident communicator, able to influence and collaborate effectively with Directors, the GM, and the Board
