Position Title: Fruit Production Supervisor
Number of Positions: 2
Location: Katikati, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
Pay Rate: $28 – $32 per hour 
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

• Minimum 2 years’ experience OR Level 4 qualification.

• Supervise daily orchard activities and seasonal work programmes.
• Monitor vine/plant health, crop load, irrigation, and pest/disease conditions.
• Allocate tasks and supervise orchard workers and seasonal teams.
• Train workers in horticultural techniques and safe work practices.
• Lead pruning, thinning, canopy management, vine training, and harvest preparation.
• Maintain accurate orchard operation and productivity records.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Oversee safe use and maintenance of orchard machinery and equipment.
• Conduct quality checks to protect fruit grade and minimise losses.
• Report progress, issues, and orchard needs to management.

• Train new staff in horticultural techniques and safe work practices.
• Maintain orchard hygiene and follow biosecurity standards.
• Report vine/plant health issues, pests, or diseases to supervisors.
• Support irrigation checks and general orchard maintenance.
• Ensure safe handling of fruit and canopy structures to protect crop quality.
• Maintain simple records of tasks completed and worker productivity.
