Work Location: Auckland Region
Employment type: Full time (minimum 30 hours/week, Monday to Sunday), Permanent role
Our pay: $29.00-$32.00per hour depending on skills and experience
We are a construction company based in Auckland.
We are now looking for 3 glaziers to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right people and will allow access into a reputable and experienced company.
Tasks you may carry out:
· Determining the type and dimensions of glass required from the drawings
· Measuring, marking, cutting and fitting glass to the size and specifications following the drawings or templates
· Examining glass and marking defective areas
· Polishing, grinding and smoothing edges and surfaces with hand and power
· tools
· Installing and fitting glass into aluminium frames, showers, mirrors, etc.
· Removing old or broken glass prior to new installation
· Cleaning the finish product and completing final quality checks against specifications
· Ensuring the glass installations comply with building codes and regulations
· Compliance with health and safety requirements at all time
To be successful you will need to:
· Have at least one year solid relevant experience, or
· Have a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification in glass glazing or equivalent
· qualifications/certificates,
· Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions
· Be physically fit and willingness to work hard
· Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively
· Have "can-do" attitude
