We are looking for 5 qualified and experienced Glaziers who are motivated to build a long-term career with us.

Job Title:  Glazier

Hourly rate: $26-$35

Number of Vacancies: 5

Job Location: Auckland

Employment type: Permanent Full-time

Minimum and Maximum Hours Per Week: 30-70 hours

What are you be doing?

·Determine the type, thickness, size, and dimensions of glass required for projects.  

·Measure, mark, cut, and shape glass to specifications, using patterns, templates, hand tools, and cutting equipment.

·Lay glass on padded tables or in jigs for cutting.

·Inspect glass and identify defective areas for removal.  

·Install glass, mirrors, and related products in windows, doors, skylights, shopfronts, and interior surfaces.

·Fit and secure glass using fixings and sealants.

·Finish glass edges using sanders, smoothing wheels, or hand tools.

·Apply glass treatments such as coating, etching, laminating, or tinting.

·Ensure work meets health and safety regulations and building standards.

·Work with team members and other trades to complete projects.

What will you bring?

Minimum 2 years relevant work experience, or equivalent level 4 or above qualification;

Sound knowledge of glass types, installation techniques, and industry tools

Ability to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with regulatory and safety requirements

Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot on-site issues efficiently

Strong communication skills and a professional work attitude

Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

Physical fitness and ability to handle glass materials safely

A reliable work ethic and commitment to long-term employment
