Position: Hair and Scalp Technician

Pay Rate: $35 to $40 per hour depending on experience

Full time- minimum 30 hours per week

Location of work: Royal Oak, NZ

We are K Beauty in Royal Oak, Auckland looking for an experienced Hair and Scalp Technician.

Responsibilities include:

• Care for different scalp and hair conditions such as dandruff, itchiness, oiliness, or sensitivity.
• Use scalp analysis tools to check hair and scalp health and suggest the right treatments.
• Give advice and care for clients with hair thinning or genetic hair loss.
• Offer relaxing head massages to help clients sleep better and reduce stress.
• Cleanse and detox the scalp to support healthy hair growth.
• Apply suitable hair serums to boost hair growth.
• Make hair soft, shiny, and full of volume.
• Treat dry or damaged hair, especially after colouring or perm.
• Cover grey roots to keep hair looking fresh and youthful.
• Do basic haircuts for both men and women.
• Work closely with the team to create a warm, welcoming salon experience.
• Communicate comfortably with clients in English.

What We're Looking For:

• At least 2 years’ experience in hair and scalp related care, or similar salon work.
• Good understanding of scalp and hair care techniques.
• Friendly, patient, and professional attitude.
• Basic to good English communication skills.
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to work on Thurs, Fri and weekends & late nights
