Job Description

What youll be doing

  • Plan, deliver, and assess courses using effective teaching methods and materials
  • Adapt content for different delivery modes while following delivery schedules
  • Provide timely marking, feedback, and reassessment as required
  • Support learners academic progress, employability, and personal growth
  • Address learner support needs, referring to other staff where appropriate
  • Advise on further study and career pathway opportunities
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge through ongoing professional development
  • Collaborate with other tutors to ensure engaging and innovative programmes
  • Design valid and reliable assessments that meet all learning outcomes
  • Maintain accurate student records in the student management system
Desired Skills And Experience What youll bring Qualifications:
  • NZ Certificate in Adult Literacy & Numeracy Education (Level 5) or
  • NZ Certificate in Adult & Tertiary Teaching (Level 4)
  • Unit standards 4098 or 11551 desirable but not essential
Skills & Experience
  • Proven ability to engage and motivate adult learners
  • Experience delivering and assessing in an education or training environment
  • Strong communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching for diverse learners and contexts
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration
