Hi-Qual Doors & Stairs are a North Shore, Auckland-based company looking for candidates to fill the position of: JOINERY TEAM MEMBER 

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

We are looking for a reliable, committed team member to join our busy production area.  

Based in the Door Department of our manufacturing workshop, this busy role will offer a variety of standard production tasks and also involve being able to lend a hand to our other production areas when required.  

Key duties will include: 

Reporting to Production / Team Leader taking orders for Manufacture materials & components needed for manufacturing orders.  

• Assist with stock control and inventory and the like. 

• Using Machinery, portable tools, pneumatic tools for accurately cutting, shaping, and fitting timber components to meet installation requirements specification. 

• Pre hanging doors. 

• Warehousing of components. 

• Manage work flows effectively to meet manufacturing quality standards 

• Able to read drawings and specifications on work orders / job sheet for manufacturing. 

• Assisting with highest quality standards and ensure efficiency gains to max. 

• To always be flexible in your duties to ensure that the business runs effectively. 

• Liaising with Production / Team Leaders reorders & delivery targets. 

• NZ Driver’s License. 

 To be successful in this role, you should have: 

• NZQA level 4 in (ideally joinery or carpentry) or relevant two-year experience. 

• Flexible availability, including early mornings or occasional weekends depending on project needs. 

• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and design specifications to understand project requirements. 

• Physical stamina and the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials. 

• Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines 

• Owen your vehicle  

• Pre-employment drug test and police check required. 

Candidate Requirements  

 The ideal person we are looking for is someone who has a passion for the joinery industry and who will enjoy working with timber on a daily basis 

This position will preferably suit someone with joinery experience who could hit the ground running, although we are also willing to train somebody who can show that they are keen to learn

•   Good eye for detail  

•   Some basic timber knowledge would be an advantage  

•   Must be reliable and punctual · Self-motivated and a team player  

The following attributes are Preferred:  

•   Understanding of Health and Safety Policies  

•   Previous Timber Joinery experience  

•   Confident user on Machinery and Tools 

PRE-EMPLOYMENT CHECKS 

• A Police Clearance Certificate will be required. 

JOB DETAILS:

Job Title: Joinery Team Member 

Number of Positions: 1 

Days and Hours of Work: 5 Days, Monday to Friday – Total 40 hours per week 

Location of Work: 16 Ashfield Rd, Glenfield, Auckland, New Zealand

Full-Time Position: Yes – 30 hours a week guaranteed. 

Permanent/Contract Based: Permanent 

Pay Rate: Dependent on Relevant Experience, range from $30.00-$35.00 NZD
