About the role
Evison Earthworks is seeking an experienced Labourer and/or Class 2 truck driver to join their team in Queenstown. This is a contract role, offering the opportunity to be part of an exciting and fast-paced construction project. As a Labourer and/or Class 2 driver, you will play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of the project. Although this is a short term contract, there may be ongoing work for the right candidate.
What you'll be doing
Performing general labouring duties and working alongside the excavator operator.
Operating compaction machinery as required
Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Performing Class 2 driving duties as needed, short haul.
Adhering to all relevant health and safety policies and procedures
What we're looking for
Previous experience as a Labourer or Class 2 driver in the construction industry
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines
A valid Class 2 driver's licence is a bonus
Ability to pass pre employment drug and alcohol screening and random testing.
Be punctual and switched on when at work.
