About the role:
A full-time, permanent opportunity is available for a Lead Sprayer Operator / Farm Assistant to join a small, multi-skilled team.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Full-time boom sprayer operation during the busy season, both on the home farm and third party farms
- Machinery operation (spreading, cultivation, rolling, mowing, harvesting)
- Livestock management and associated tasks (drenching, vaccinating, tagging, dipping, weighing, shearing support, electric fence management)
- Irrigation management (pivot and linear)
- Scheduled plant, machinery and property maintenance
- Oversee safe chemical handling, mixing, and loading procedures
- Conduct pre-spray environmental risk assessments
- Lead the scheduled diagnostic, maintenance, and protocols for self-propelled sprayers and support equipment.
- Workflow management & Record keeping (Tabula, monday.com, Trimble, iCloud)
- Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed.
Skills and experience required:
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience OR
- Level 4 Qualification
- Valid driver’s license (essential) (Heavy Traffic licence desirable)
- Willingness and ability to execute spraying operations to a high standard, as well as handling a wide variety of farm related tasks
- The ability to build positive relationships with all business stakeholders
- Ability to perform basic machinery maintenance
- The strength & physical fitness to perform manual tasks for several hours each day
- Clean criminal record and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.

- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and public holidays, during peak seasons.
