We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Assistant and are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, strong attention to detail, and a passion for bringing ideas to life. Reporting to the Marketing Manager this is a permanent full-time position based at our office in Ellerslie, and travel as required to the Wiri manufacturing site.
Here at Griffin’s snacks, we’re part of the Intersnack Group, a global snack food leader operating in over 30 countries. However, whilst internationally owned, we manufacture locally and proudly produce some of New Zealand’s favourite snack brands - including Griffin’s, Huntley & Palmers, ETA, Nice & Natural, Snackachangi and Proper Crisps.
A key focus of the role is to provide essential support across a wide range of marketing tasks, ensuring the smooth delivery of campaigns and projects. This role reports directly into the Salty Team, working closely with cross‑functional colleagues to maintain momentum on brand initiatives, product launches and ongoing marketing activations.
What you’ll be responsible for:
Leadership of projects and marketing activities for the Eta / Griffin’s Salty brands, with the support of the Marketing Manager.
Support with development of social media and website content across Salty brands.
Work with marketing department to manage brand and marketing initiatives as agreed by Marketing Manager.
Develop and execute marketing campaigns under the guidance of Brand and/or Marketing Managers.
Conduct market research and analyse consumer rating reports/questionnaires.
Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.).
Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information.
Assisting with promotional events and traditional/digital campaigns.
Provide ad hoc support to the wider Salty team across the Mexicano, SnackaChangi, Proper.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree majoring in Marketing, Business or a related field (FMCG experience is an advantage).
1 year of experience in Marketing is ideal (graduate/internship experience).
Social media experience, community management, brand activation/sampling experience advantageous.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
Excellent team player with the confidence to take ownership of key projects.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Great communication skills with various audiences.
Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data‑driven decisions.
