About the Team/Service/Location
Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora – Southern – Wellington Central, North Island. Wellington regional hospital MRI department is looking for a qualified MRI MIT (MRI Diagnostic Radiographer) who is keen to join a motivated, innovative and forward‑thinking MRI department. The successful candidate will work in a collegial and supportive environment that will enable them to hone their MRI skills as part of a tertiary hospital service provider.
Successful candidates will be part of a high‑performing team that nurtures personal development, job satisfaction and individual growth. The role is based in the MRI department and requires participation in the on‑call roster, including rostered and rotating evening and weekend shifts.
The department currently has two Siemens scanners – a 3T and a 1.5T – and provides a 24/7 on‑call service to support acute workload. We offer a wide range of tertiary scanning services, including breast biopsy, cardiac, advanced neuro, research, paediatric, geriatric and ICU imaging. The work is rewarding and sometimes challenging; adapting technique allows you to apply your skills and knowledge to achieve positive outcomes for patients. Additional training and support will be provided if the successful candidate has no previous experience in these imaging techniques.
We are a friendly, dynamic team that is growing and have a proven, successful training programme for MRI MIT trainees and encourage MIT students to spend time with us.
