The role involves diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and performing routine servicing across customer vehicles and the company’s rental fleet. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who can manage a mix of repair and maintenance tasks while ensuring vehicles are maintained to operational and safety standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and manual inspection 2. Carry out servicing and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems 3. Perform routine maintenance on both customer vehicles and rental fleet vehicles 4. Inspect vehicles and identify repair requirements in line with safety standards 5. Test and adjust mechanical components after repairs 6. Maintain accurate service records and maintenance logs 7. Ensure rental vehicles are maintained in roadworthy condition 8. Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements 9. Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment 10. Complete tasks within required timeframes to support workshop operations Skills & Experience 1. Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or a related qualification 2. Minimum 3 years of relevant full-time work experience 3. Strong understanding of vehicle systems including engine, braking, and suspension 4. Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently 5. Experience using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment 6. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills 7. Ability to work effectively within a team environment 8. Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
