We’re seeking an Operational Asset Manager to provide strategic direction and hands‑on leadership for our regional asset management teams. You’ll drive the development and delivery of Forward Works Programmes, optimise asset lifecycles, and ensure value for money—making a tangible difference to the safety, reliability, and future of transport in your region.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou’re a proven leader with substantial experience in asset management and infrastructure. You thrive on complexity, enjoy building high‑performing teams, and have a knack for strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement. Your analytical skills, technical expertise, and commitment to continuous improvement set you apart. In addition, you’ll bring:
SkillsYou will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi as it applies in the public service.
